These terms apply when you use Kalam. Please read them along with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Kalam is
Kalam is an AI-assisted practice and learning tool for competitive exam aspirants in India, starting with the UPSC Civil Services Examination. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Union Public Service Commission, any State Public Service Commission or any other examination body.
2. Practice scores are indicative
Scores and feedback are generated by AI to help you practise. They are indicative only, do not represent official marks, and do not predict your result in any examination.
3. AI can make mistakes
Explanations, facts and current affairs summaries may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify important information with standard and official sources before relying on it.
4. Your content
You own the answers and notes you submit. You give us permission to process them only to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Fair use
- You must be 18 or older to use Kalam.
- Do not use Kalam during any actual examination, or in any way that breaks examination rules.
- Do not misuse the service, attempt to break it, or use it to create harmful content.
6. Early access
During early access, features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. Early access is free. We will announce any pricing in advance.
7. Liability
Kalam is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for exam outcomes or for decisions you make based on the service.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
